We offer completely hand-made cut and pierced lampshades that are made on the premises by us. We have a large variety of shades and lamp bases, from Smoky Mountain rustic to Victorian designs Ye Olde Lamp Shoppe has been a family business since 1977. Feel free to order from this web site, knowing your order is secure.  In the future, you'll be able to send pictures of family, friends, pets, scenes, wall paper, etc. by e-mail, regular mail, or just give it to us at the store.  Then we'll put it on a lamp shade, ( cut if you want), or put it on an Ice Block. A little information about cut lamp shades

History:
Cutting lamp shades is a very old New England art, originally done on tin & copper in the early 1900's.

During the process, the shades are:
Painted ~ cut ~ trimmed ~ lined ~ framed
and assembled completely by the artist.

Painted Shades:
Shades that have the painting on the inside of the shade show only when the light is on, and will show up 2-3 times brighter in your home than here on the web site or in the store.  When the painting is on the outside you will see it all the time.
